Video games...I love video games.

I have said before I am a bit of a nerd and Iím quite proud of that

fact.

My brother and I started playing video games at a young age.

Console games and computer games we played them all. We have quite

the collection of console gaming systems between us ranging from

the original Nintendo NES to XBox 360ís (one for each of us) to

WIIís. My sister has a few video game systems herself, but I do not

know if she will ever be quite as video game saavy as we are. I

thinks she prefers to spend her time with friends or

something...who knows.

I recently purchased my XBox and a couple of games and letís just

say..I was excited. I do love a good video gaming session. That is

when i have time. Most of the time I am working or visiting with

friends or...well who knows what, but Sunday I did have a chance to

spend some time with my XBox and sit back and remember all those

days I spent playing games with my brother or my parents. I do have

some very fond memories of gaming with my parents and

siblings.

My mom told me a long time ago that when they first got the

original Nintendo she and my brother used to play it. This was

before I was born and she said they used to have a lot of fun with

it.

After I came a long and got to a game playing age my brother and I

played, but you know, my mom still got in on some video game fun

occasionally. She was always fun to play with. Especially Mario.

She was pretty good at that and she is still pretty good at video

games, when she decides to play with us.

My dad enjoys them as well. He had a Gameboy for a long time. I can

remember him sitting there playing Tetris. That man was a genius

when it came to Tetris. They have a new Tetris game on the WII and

I tell you, he has not lost his skills at all. The man stomped me.

Although I won a few games of my own. I guess I take after my dad

in some ways.

I think what makes gaming so extraordinary these days is the

ability to hook up online and talk with people

everywhere.

XBox has what they call XBox live. You can play video games with

your friends all over the place. I plan on using it and playing

games with my brother. That way we can keep playing even though we

are far away from each other. I have to say one of the things I

enjoy most about video games is the bonding experience with my

siblings. My sister and I like to play WII, my brother and I like

to play XBox and it gives us a chance to do something together we

all like. Itís a really nice way to spend a little downtime

together.

I think over the Labor Day holiday I will spend a little time and

relax with a video game.
