TOPEKA – DeAnn Hill, CPA, PFS, CGMA was selected as one of the “2012 Most Powerful Women in Accounting” by CPA Practice Advisor. The list included 25 women from the accounting profession. Hill is the owner of DeAnn Auman Hill, CPA in Baxter Springs, Kan. The firm was founded in 1985 and caters to closely-held, family-owned, businesses by providing outside controller and consulting services, with a varied tax practice. Hill graduated from Pittsburg State University in 1980. She is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and is currently a member of the AICPA Financial Reporting Framework for Small to Medium Entities drafting committee, and is Chair of the 2013 AICPA Practitioners Symposium/Tech Plus/AAM Summit. She is also a member of the Kansas Society of CPAs. She is a past president of the KSCPA and serves on the KSCPA Legislative Executive Committee and KSCPA Political Action Committee. She was recently appointed by Governor Brownback to the Kansas School Efficiency Taskforce.
