The Weir Public Library board of trustees met September 10 with the following members present: Ronda Coltrane, Karen Thompson, Melissa Gardner, Roxy Blessant, Mayor Saundra Stricklin and Stef Arbuckle.
A workshop on the “Responsibilities of the Trustee & Director” was given to the board. Workshops are being given towards the certification of the board members.
The “Taste of Home & Creative Cook’s Kitchen” cookbooks were won by Julianne Whittenburg during Sunday Bake Sale in the park during the Weir Homecoming.
It was a “hot time” in the library with Hot Wheels filling the guessing jar. Those guessing the closest to the 37 cars in the jar received a Hot Wheel car. Preschool Storytime begins Tuesday, Oct. 6, 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the activity area of the library. No registration needed.
