Lieutenant Colonel Tom Behnke has served 28 years in the United States Air Force prior to retiring April 1, 2009.  As a Command Pilot, he flew F-15c, F-4, and T-38 model jets and was an Instructor Pilot in all of these aircraft.

Colonel Behnke is married to the former Melissa Dill of Columbus.  They are now living near London, England.  Tom is beginning his second career as an F-15C Simulator Instructor Pilot at Lakenheath AFB, England, for the Boeing Aerospace Corporation.  Melissa is a Hospital Volunteer and Medical Assistant to Dr. Spitzer, an Acupuncture Specialist at Lakenheath.  

Colonel Behnke is an Air Force Academy Graduate and has a Master's Degree in Business.  Not only has he served throughout the United States, Internationally he was stationed in Spain, the Philippines, Japan, Italy, and was recently deployed to the Middle East.  As an F-4E instructor at Holloman AFB, Tom taught German pilots how to employ the Phantom in combat. In San Antonio, Tx Colonel Behnke was selected to be Chief of Fighter/Bomber Assignments at the Air Force Personnel Center at Randolph AFB.  He ended his career as the Commander of the 53rd Test Support Squadron at Tyndall AFB in Panama City, Florida.

Together they have plans to travel throughout more of Europe and the United Kingdom.  "We feel very blessed to be back over here and look forward to seeing our old friends again in Italy, Denmark, and Scotland", said Tom.

Tom is the Son of Caroline Behnke of Florida and the late Robert Behnke .  Melissa is the daughter of Leta and Mervin J. Dill, Columbus, Kansas.
