Friday evening August 14 found the Wheels of Fun Car Club and a lot of their friends at a cruise at the Pizza Hut in Columbus KS.  There were 32 various antique and classic vehicles on display that evening. Betty Kaufmann from Baxter Springs KS brought her 1968 Plymouth Satellite and won the club choice trophy. The host trophy was won by Keith Spriggs from Cherokee KS. Keith owns a 1955 Ford. The 50/50 pot was won by Annette Blaylock.

The clubs last cruise for the season will be this Friday evening August 28. For this cruise we are asking all to help us with a restock the food shelves benefit for some of the local churches.  So please bring a can of food and donate to the benefit. The fun starts around 6 p.m. This cruise will be held at Columbus Tire at the corner of Hwy 160 and High School St on the north side of Columbus. There will be trophies, door prizes, the 50/50 pot, food, music, visiting and fun. There is no entry fee. Everyone is welcome to bring their vehicle and participate or just come on out and check out the golden oldies that will be there.
