"Since 1989 Iíve had the honor of serving the citizens of Baxter Springs as a Police Officer and as the Municipal Court Clerk. I also had the privilege to serve as Cherokee County Commissioner representing District #3 from 2005-2009. As County Clerk Iíll bring the same hard work and dedication to the clerkís office by being honest, helpful, and fully committed to the citizens of Cherokee County. I believe my experience as a county commissioner and as a court clerk provide the qualifications and determination to be a good and effective County Clerk.†
"I currently serve as the Baxter Springs Municipal Court Clerk.† I joined the City of Baxter Springs in 1989 as a Police Officer, serving until 1996. In 1996, I became the Court Clerk and I still hold that position today. I was elected Cherokee County Commissioner in 2004 and served until January of 2009.
"My wife of 28 years, Gail, and I have a daughter Kristin Seal of Baxter Springs and a son Riley and wife Kayla of Springdale Arkansas. We have two grandchildren Hayden and Karson Seal, ages 3 and 1, of Baxter Springs.
"We attend Crossroads Christian Church of Baxter Springs, where I serve as a Deacon.
"I previously served on the board of directors for the Kansas Association for Court Management (KACM).
"I received the 2006 KACM Court Clerk of the Year Award.
"In 2004, I was appointed to serve on the Kansas Supreme Court's Education Committee for Municipal Court Clerks, and still serve in that position today.
"Iím a graduate of the Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center, KLETC.
"Iím a former Police Officer and E.M.T. and served as a D.A.R.E. Officer.
"I graduated of Baxter Springs High in 1981, and N.E.O. A&M College in Miami, Oklahoma in 1983."
