I have been honored to serve the citizens of Cherokee County as a law enforcement officer for over the past twelve years, with the last three of those years serving as your Sheriff.

During my first term, we have built a strong foundation, which we will continue to build upon, maintaining our focus on fiscal responsibility and public safety to make Cherokee County a safer place to live and raise our families.

I am proud of the fact that we were able to increase services and efficiency during my first term. Some examples include adding an additional deputy to patrol, digital fingerprinting, voice stress analyzer services, much needed technological upgrades for our dispatching center, an aggressive registered offender management system, video conferencing with the Courts, and an online presence that allows citizens to keep up to date with the happenings within the Sheriff’s Office.

We have been able to make these improvements, and more, without going over or seeking an increase in the Sheriff’s Office budget.

I am also proud to have maintained an open door policy. Over the past three years many residents have taken time to stop by and visit, and I’m grateful that we’ve created an atmosphere that makes them feel welcomed, because they are.

In addition, one of our greatest achievements has been the partnerships that our office has formed with other law enforcement agencies, businesses, schools and community members. This is our county, all of us, and we have to work together – as a team – to make sure that it continues to be great!

I appreciate and am encouraged by all the support that everyone has shown me and my office during my first term and I would be honored to continue serving as your Sheriff.

I would be grateful for your vote in November and I invite you to learn more about my re-election campaign at www.grovesforsheriff.com.
