Grant Randall Democratic Candidate for state representative and is a 1999 graduate of Baxter Springs High School. He spent his summers fixing tires at Randall Oil Co. He attended Pittsburg State University before transferring to The University of Kansas, eventually graduating in 2008 from The University of Kansas School of Law.

While earning his Juris Doctorate, Grant studied under a Supreme Court Justice, and won the Hoeflich and Nordheden Scholarship in Law for public service and social justice. During this time, Grant provided research and analysis to the Kansas Legislatureís Joint Committee on Legislative Budget and the Joint Committee on Health Policy Oversight, as well as interned with Kansas Social and Rehabilitative Services where he assisted state agents in investigating and reporting elder abuse, fraud, and neglect, and assisted state attorneys in prosecuting crimes and trial preparation.

Since graduation, Grant has lived and worked in Baxter Springs, Washington DC, and Brazil. His experience includes consulting with Oklahoma Progress LLC, operations manager for Paradigm Mortgage Services, the Department of Commerce, the law offices of Farley, Schneider, and Monger, the Heartland Medical Clinic and as a supervisor with Cottonwood Inc., providing care for and assisting mentally handicapped individuals. He has recently used his legal and health care expertise to open a consulting firm based in Cherokee County.

Grantís reasons for seeking office are grounded in a concern for his community and what he sees as a rapidly shrinking middleclass. He believes the first steps in correcting this are supporting education and creative job development.
