"If elected as Cherokee County Attorney, I will work in conjunction with law enforcement to ensure a crime committed is a crime charged. Once charged, I will fight to ensure justice prevails, victims are protected and, if a crime is committed, the criminal is held responsible through a fair and proper conviction. Through value driven hard work, dedication and aggressive prosecution, I will work to restore the community’s and law enforcement’s confidence and trust in the office. Law enforcement must trust that their hard work in the field will be followed up by the same hard work and dedication in the courtroom.

"Raised in Baxter Springs, I come from a family who has been proud to serve Cherokee County through a family owned business for over 50 years. It was with great pride that I returned home to Cherokee County with my wife and three children after graduating from Washburn University School of Law with honors and after practicing for a few years in Kansas City.

"I currently have a law office in Galena where I use my decade of legal experience in representing both individuals and businesses. In addition to handling criminal and other cases in Kansas and Missouri, I also serve Cherokee County by providing court appointed counsel to individuals in criminal cases, juvenile offender cases, child in need of care cases, and care and treatment cases. I am confident my experience will allow me to effectively carry out the duties of Cherokee County Attorney, if elected.

"Outside of my law practice, I serve on the Board of the Riverton Little League; as a coach in the Upwards Basketball Program through CrossRoads Christian church in Baxter Springs; and as a coach in the Spring River Soccer Association. My family and I are active members at Riverton Friends Church where my wife and I teach Children’s Church and where, on Wednesday nights, I teach a Royal Rangers Program.

"At the heart of my campaign for county attorney is my desire to serve in keeping Cherokee County a safe place for our families to live, learn and grow. Through my strong working relationships with local attorneys, law enforcement and the community, I will work hard to build a safer community together."
