RIVERTON – The Keenagers Chorus and Parsons Community Orchestra will present their annual Spring Concert at 3 p.m. on Sunday, June 4, in the Riverton High School Auditorium.

The Keenagers Chorus, a senior citizen group that rehearses in Riverton, was organized in 1997. They have presented a Christmas and Spring concert every year since. The Parsons Community Orchestra rehearses in Parsons, and includes students from Labette Community College and musicians of all ages from the surrounding community. Both groups are under the direction of Scott Nelson, of Riverton.

The concert program will range from patriotic to sentimental music of the past and present. The highlight of the afternoon will likely be when the orchestra and chorus combine their talents in presenting a medley of George and Ira Gershwin tunes entitled “Who Could Ask For Anything More?”

“As time goes by, there are certain unforgettable tunes that remain in our memories. Come take a walk down ‘memory lane’ and spend a pleasant afternoon with the Keenagers and the Parsons Community Orchestra.”

There is no admission charge for the concert, however, donations will be accepted.
