Good Morning, and try to stay cool.

CDF/HABR brochures have gone out to over 30 VIC's in Kansas, Oklahoma and Missouri. Starting to take a lot of calls on the festival. We are just about ready to start putting together the pilot gift bags - if you have anything you want to put in them, drop them off at the office (coupons, advertising merchandise, etc). At present we have 12 confirmed pilots, but I am in contact with some others to attend. We had five pilots that have been with us for several years, retired this year.

This is fair week, beginning tomorrow, so take time to drop by and check it out. Several members have food - which is always good, Lions Shack, Girl Scout House and First Christian Church Corn Dog stand. The 4-H kids have worked hard throughout the year to show off what they have learned in their projects. So take time to come by in the evening.

This week:

Thursday, July 27 Columbus Day meeting, noon

Saturday, July 29 Livestock Sale, Crossland Picnic

Tuesday, August 1 Agriculture committee meeting, noon

Tuesday, August 8 Executive meeting, noon

Wednesday, August 9 Chamber board meeting, noon

The agriculture committee is accepting vendor space from those working with our agriculture community for their fall Ag EXPO to be held September 28. They have several workshops lined up that will be of interest to our farm and ranch people. We have received booking space from a few businesses. Space is available both inside and outside. If you are interested in space, call the Chamber office.

The CDF/HABR committee needs a group or organization to park cars during the balloon festival out at the industrial park. The will give the organization a portion of what comes in. If interested, let the office know.

Have a good week,

Jean
