The retail committee has announced a project they are taking on:
The Chamber of Commerce wants to spotlight your business on our Facebook Page! Every Monday we will spotlight a different Chamber business. Our hopes are to spotlight every Chamber member on our membership list.
What we need from you:
Pictures! Lots and lots of pictures. You may send as many or as few as you want displayed. We recommend sending each of the following:
*Front of business
*Items you have for sale or goods you produce
*Your company logo
Information about your business:
*Address, phone, website
*Hours of operation
*Number of years company has been in business
*Anything you want the fans of our Facebook page to know about your company
Once you have all your information and pictures together email them to Jamie@mikecarpinoford.com Please make sure all pictures are .jpeg and all business information will be entered exactly as it is sent in. Each company will be spotlighted in the order it was sent in. If you have questions please call Jamie at 620-429-2200.
We have a large following on our Facebook page so lets give this a try and send Jamie your information.
Ag EXPO is from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sept. 28. We still have vendor space available both inside and out, for those of you who have products for the agriculture community. You may think that the community know what you offer, but you would be surprised at some of the questions the Chamber office receives asking about businesses - it always amazing. Let us know if you wish to participate, at present, we have vendors from Carthage, Pittsburg, Bartlett, and our surrounding area.
Chris award nominees are due by Sept. 8. No formal application, send a letter advising why that person should be considered and what they have done for our community. Will be announced during the Miss Columbus pageant.
Miss Columbus committee is accepting donations to help with scholarships and gift bags for the young ladies. If you have something you would like to donate contact Fawna or Gracie at Farm Bureau Insurance. These ladies have worked very hard on putting this pageant together.
Team Threads just delivered our t-shirts for the Columbus Day festival. They look really great, so we will have them out shortly. Gift bags are being put together for the pilots, if your company want to put anything in them - coupons, give aways, etc., feel free to drop them by the office. We are still in need of housing for a new pilot coming from the Dallas area (himself, wife, and tweo children, five and six years old). If you can help out, let us know.
