CHEROKEE - Tuesday through Friday, Sept. 12-15, the South Kansas & Oklahoma Railroad (SKOL) will close and repair the crossing on U.S. 400 east of K-7 at Cherokee. The crossing will be closed to through traffic at the work zone from 8 a.m. Tuesday until 5 p.m. Friday.

The signed detour route for U.S. 400 eastbound traffic: From U.S. 400 at Cherokee proceed south on K-7 to K-103, then east on K-103 to U.S. 69A/400, then north on U.S. 69A/400 to U.S. 400. Westbound traffic should take the same detour route in the opposite direction.
