Mike Carpino Ford and CUHS aim to raise thousands for Titan Band and Football

COLUMBUS - Area residents will have a unique opportunity this Saturday. Thanks to a partnership between Mike Carpino Ford and Columbus Unified High School, members of the community will be able to support the Titans by test driving a brand new vehicle.

The initiative is part of Ford's Drive 4 UR School campaign, and will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 16, at Mike Carpino Ford in Columbus. For every test drive taken, Ford Motor Company will donate $20 to Titan Band and Titan Football.

As per the guidelines of the program, the community can help raise up to a maximum amount of $6,000. School districts across the country are facing a financial crunch that is causing more programs and extracurriculars to be cut due to budgetary constraints. This fundraising event is way for the community to fill some of those financial gaps.

Drive 4 UR School began in 2007 as a way for Ford to give back to communities across the country. The idea was simple: Test-drive a Ford vehicle from a local dealership, get money for your school. The success of the school program inspired the launch of Drive 4 UR Community, allowing Ford Dealers to partner with nonprofit organizations as well. To date, Ford dealerships across the United States have helped raised more than $35 million through the programs.
