COLUMBUS - The Columbus Chamber of Commerce is asking for nominations for the “Education Hall of Fame” award. The award honors educators who have made an impact on the lives of their students, in the field of education and/or in their communities and whose work and accomplishments need to be recognized.

The following guidelines are to be used when making nominations:

⦁ The individual nominated must have been an employee of the Columbus School System (USD 493).

⦁ They must have worked a minimum of 10 years in the Columbus School System before retirement to be considered.

⦁ They should be working, or did work, in the community after retirement making a difference in Columbus or their home community.

⦁ The nominees can be living or deceased.

One inductee will be selected and honored at the annual Chamber of Commerce Dinner in February. A plaque with their picture and service years will be displayed on the “Hall of Fame” wall at the USD 493 Columbus High School.

Nominations will be accepted through Nov. 30.
