Just a reminder that we need your 2018 events, as we are working on the calendar of events brochure. Want to have it to the printer before Christmas, so they can be in the mail and in the hands of the VIC's in Kansas, Oklahoma and Missouri in the first part of January. This brochure goes in the hands of potential visitors to our area. Not only does it give dates of our larger events, but also has a breakdown of restaurants, overnight accommodations and shopping, plus a map showing lotion and points of interest. This is a project of the retail committee, if you would like to have your business listed in the brochure it is $40, for three lines on info for members. Tourism committee picks up postage, we go through 5,000 each year - they are handed out at trade shows and in all mailings. Let the office know if you want your business listed.
Thank you to the city employees for putting away the trolley for the winter. Thanks also to Doug for allowing us to store it in the ambulance barn.
If your business is planning on doing a wreath to be placed on a street light for the Holiday season, we need those in the office by Monday, Nov. 27, as the Christmas Celebration committee will be putting them up that afternoon. These businesses have stepped up with providing a wreath: Maple UnCommon Guest House & Gallery, Cherokee County News Advocate, Parcom Verizon, Empire District Electric, Optic Communications, Commerce Bank and the Chamber.
