MANHATTAN — Nearly 1,500 students completed degree requirements from Kansas State University in fall 2017. The graduates are from 86 Kansas counties, 40 states and 27 countries.
Cherokee County students were: Adele Bohn, Bachelor of Science in Dietetics; Sara Comer, Master of Science; both of Columbus.
The university awarded 1,233 bachelor's degrees, 215 master's degrees, 43 doctorates and three associate degrees. Several students earned multiple degrees.
More than 200 students earned graduation honors for outstanding academic performance. Of those, 58 students graduated summa cum laude with a grade point average of 3.95 or above; 75 students graduated magna cum laude with a grade point average of 3.85 to 3.949; and 75 students graduated cum laude with a GPA of 3.75 to 3.849.
