Joshua Scott Elphick, 38, of Sulphur Springs, Ark. passed from this life on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at his residence.

Joshua was born on April 2, 1979 in Corona, Calif. to Ronald Wayne Elphick and Deborah June (Robinson) McDonough. Josh worked for Tyson Foods and currently for Simmons in Southwest City, Mo. as a shoulder cutter. Josh enjoyed to sing and watching sports. Being born and raised in California he was an avid fan of the Angels, Lakers, Rams, and the Kings. He loved spending time with his family, especially his two daughters.

Joshua was preceded in death by his grandparents. He is survived by his mother and step-father, Deborah and Lee McDonough of Baxter Springs, Kan.; father, Ronald Elphick and step-mother, Wendy Mitchell of Norco, Calif.; Fiancé, Amy Stroud of the home; two daughters, Shiloh and Jordan Elphick of Rolla, Mo.; four brothers, Brandon Elphick of Norco, Calif., Travis Lacasse of Norco, Calif., Lee McDonough Jr. of Stillwater, Okla., and Mark McDonough and wife Lori of Ripon, Calif.; five sisters, Jeannette Gatewood and husband Mitchell of Baxter Springs, Kan., Jilliann McDonough of Joplin, Mo., Shannon McDonough of Baxter Springs, Kan., Alicia Gentis and husband Tyler of Riverside, Calif., and Michelle Fisher and husband Scott of Encinitas, Calif.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, April 6, 2018 at Trinity Worship Center, Baxter Springs, Kan. Pastor Steve Fellers will officiate. Burial will follow in the Baxter Springs Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m., Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Derfelt’s Baxter Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to the McDonough family in care of the funeral home.
