JOPLIN, Mo. - On Tuesday, April 24, the Lady Rams of Riverton run-ruled College Heights 13-3 in five innings on a very wet muddy diamond in Joplin.

College Heights started with two runs with a triple, and two singles. Riverton went 1-2-3 in the opening inning, but came back with their own two runs in the second. Kenzie Lee walked, and went to third on Kenzie Houser’s single. Both came across on Aspyn Girard’s base hit.

College Hieghts took a temporary led scoring their third and final score in the third with a walk, and two base hits. K. Lee started the third with a solo homerun. With two outs Morgan McDonald singled, and stole second. Madison Strup singled, and McDonald went to third. Camryn Compton then hit a 3-RBI round tripper.

Riverton added three more runs in the fourth. Mia Moss started the inning with a single, and went to second on McDonald’s base hit. Moss and McDonald plated on Strup’s single. Strup came in on an overthrow, and a pass ball.

To run rule College Heights in the fifth Riverton added four more runs. Girard and Makayla Lee started with base hits. Both scored on McDonald’s third single of the game. McDonald went to third on Strup’s base hit, then she scored on Compton’s 4-3 sacrifice. Strup came across for the 13th final run on a pass ball.

Jaden Phillips pitched the five innings; giving up three hits, walking two, and recording one strikeout.
