The All School Reunion is in two weeks, so if you have not registered, do so now. To attend events at the State Theater on Saturday evening, you must have your official name tag on. This is the evening that the Jim Green band (class of 1971) will be playing. You can register at the Chamber office. The number is around 250 alumni that have already registered to be in Columbus the week end of June 22 - 24. So be prepared for more visitors in town that week end, and let's have Columbus looking nice (these alumni are coming back to their hometown with great memories and want to remember), if you have a planter, we would like to see it planted, if you can't do it, let the office know and I will come and do it.
Tickets for the special vintage train ride on June 23 are available for $10 per person. Limited supply, they became available on Friday morning and by Friday afternoon 20 were already sold - so I am guessing they may be a hot item. Have had several calls already this morning.
Industry leaders, the industrial committee is hosting you to breakfast on Thursday morning, June 14, at Rowdy's Rustic Moose Lodge, 7:30 a.m. If you have not already RSVP, please do so today so I can give Sheryl a count.
Thursday, June 14 is also the last fire-up for fireworks cookout, in front of the community building from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Commerce Bank will be the grill master and they will also have their large cupcakes available for an additional $3 (they sold out early at the last one). Final payment has to be made on the fireworks by June 20 - we are still short, so come out and get your lunch on that day.
The CDF brochure is at the printer and I hope to have them available by the all school reunion for hand out, I'm sure a lot of alumni have no idea how large and how many people this festival brings to town.
Wednesday June 13 Board meeting, noon at Maple UnCommon Guest House & Gallery. We encourage members to attend, give input. We do ask that you advise if attending, in order to have enough lunch on hand.
