COLUMBUS - The Cherokee County Conservation District is taking applications for the Water Resources Cost-Share Program. The program provides financial assistance to landowners when constructing soil conservation practices such as Terraces, Waterways, and Diversions.
Funding for this program is limited so it is recommended that interested landowners contact the Cherokee County Conservation District as soon as possible. The Kansas Department of Agriculture’s Division of Conservation, through appropriations from the Kansas Water Plan, has provided funding for this program.
