BALTIMORE, Md. - This past week, four Southeast High School FBLA members and their advisor traveled to Baltimore, Maryland, for the National Leadership Conference.

Two of the members, Daisy Burns and Sarah Clausen, competed in Graphic Design. They first presented Friday morning, and later learned they had been one of the 14 teams selected as finalists to present again on Saturday afternoon. They then had to wait for the Awards of Excellence ceremony that would be hosted Sunday evening to find out they were in the top 10, which put them on the national stage, something no other Southeast student has accomplished.

Burns and Clausen received 9th place in the nation, making them the first team for SE FBLA to be recognized on stage at the National competition. They beat out 89 teams.

"It feels good to leave our mark after four years at SE," said Daisy Burns.

Caitlin Low and Wyntr Jacobs also attended the conference, presenting alongside 85 other teams in Business Financial Plan. For Wyntr, Caitlin, and Sarah, this was their third time to attend the national competition. For Daisy, it was her fourth time to attend.

We would like to thank everyone for the continued support towards the FBLA program.
