BAXTER SPRINGS - Decades of Wheels keeps the anticipation building with yet another exciting announcement this week. As part of the grand opening weekend in October, they will host both a car and motorcycle show. Proceeds from the events will go to the Baxter Springs Police and Fire Departments.
The car show is set to take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13. One winner will be selected per category: 1930 and older Custom/Modified; 1930 and older Classic (1st, 2nd, 3rd place); 1931-1950 Custom/Modified; 1931-1950 Classic; 1951-1975 Custom/Modified; 1951-1975 Classic; 1976-1990 Custom/Modified; 1976-1990 Classic; 1991-Current Custom/Modified/Classic; Best In Show.
Rare, unique, fun vehicles will receive prizes for coming to the show, awarded separately from the judged competition.
The motorcycle show will be the following day, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 14. One winner will be selected per category: American, Sport, Metric, Rat, Cafe, Bobber, and Chopper. Participants can only enter one category.
