Juanita Pauline Ludlum, 88, of Baxter Springs, Kan. passed from this life on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family.

Pauline was born on February 17, 1930 in Ketchum, Okla. to the union of Jesse and Oma (Delcour) Sappington. Pauline was united in marriage to Leroy Loren Ludlum on September 4, 1946 in Bentonville, Ark. Throughout Pauline’s life she had worked at King Louie Manufacturing, Parsons Ammunition Plant and Managed the V.F.W. Post #408, before she retired. Pauline was a life member of the V.F.W. Post #408 Ladies Auxiliary. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Riverton, Kan. Pauline enjoyed word searches and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Pauline is preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Linda Cook; grandchild, Hunter McDonald; ten brothers; one sister; two great grandchildren.

Pauline is survived by two sons, Almer Leroy Ludlum and wife Connie of Bourne, Texas, and Richard Alan Ludlum and wife Gayle of Navarre, Fla.; two daughters, Rhonda Stone of Baxter Springs, Kan., and Lorna McDonald and husband Carey of Baxter Springs, Kan.; one sister, Kathleen Loy of Winchester, Va.; grandchildren, Danny Ludlum, Beverley Walker, Mark Prauser, Brandie McLean, Jason Ludlum, Justin Wallace, James Thompson, Josh Ludlum, Letisha Bayse, Zach Haddock, Kendra Youngblood, and Jade Heck; 25 great grandchildren, 17 great-great grandchildren, and one great-great-great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at Derfelt’s Baxter Chapel. Burial will follow in the Lowell Cemetery. Pastor Michael Pierce will officiate the services. Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Monday evening at Derfelt’s Baxter Chapel.
