CHEROKEE - Southeast was the recipient of two Pritchett Trust Grants this past Thursday afternoon. The Southeast Booster Club, represented by Josh Jacobs, was awarded a $10,000 grant to add equipment and complete final touches to the new concession building located at the district sports complex.
USD 247 Nurse Lacey Wilbert also received $8,200 to purchase a new vision screening tool for the district. Both Jacobs and Nurse Lacey gave a short speech expressing their gratitude for the grants. Over $480,000 was awarded at the event. The Pritchett Trust was founded after the deaths of longtime Pittsburg residents William B. and Athlyn C. Pritchett in 1994.
