Saturday evening, September 29th, the new Miss Columbus 2012-2013 will be crowned. The pageant will take place at 7:30 in the high school auditorium. Six young ladies are vying for the title.

The 2012 Chris Award will also be presented during the pageant.

Those participating in the Miss Columbus pageant are: Kady Barrett, daughter of Tim and Brenda Barrett, Lauren Cassidy, daughter of Jeff and Julie Cassidy, Alyssa Goodwin, granddaughter of Pamela Theolet, Samantha Terrell, daughter of Trevor and Dena Terrell, Addison Torchia, daughter of David and Melissa Torchia, and Tori Wynne, daughter of Brian Wynne and Patrick and Bobbie Hamilton.

Miss Columbus 2012-2013 will receive a $1000.00 scholarship in memory of Elaine Herron presented by Dr. Rob Herron.

The young ladies have submitted a resume and a photograph of themselves to be used by the three out of town judges. These young ladies have worked for their community all year.

The selected Miss Columbus will be required to participate in Chamber of Commerce functions during her year’s reign. If the current Miss Columbus marries or otherwise becomes disqualified during her reign, the 1st runner-up will automatically become the reigning Miss Columbus.

Admission to the event is $2.00 at the door. Entrance doors will be locked during the banquet and will open at 7:15.
