Time is running out to nominate a deserving citizen for service to the community of Columbus for the 2009 Chris Award.
Nominations are considered for community service extending over a period of years – but particularly this past year – which benefited several different segments of the community. The Columbus Day committee encourages the public to nominate someone they feel is deserving of this award, send a letter with the name of the person and why you feel the person is deserving and what activities/programs they have worked with.
The Chris Award nominees will all be honored at the Miss Columbus banquet on October 3. The recipient of the Chris Award will be announced during the Miss Columbus pageant that evening in the high school auditorium.
Nomination must be submitted by 3 p.m. on Tuesday, September 8. Send your nomination to the Columbus Chamber of Commerce, Chris Award Committee, 320 E. Maple, Columbus 66725 or they may be emailed to email@example.com.
