A bomb threat was made at Galena High School Monday.
Unified School District 499 Superintendent Brian Smith said they found a note in the school between 11 and 11:30 a.m. with the threat. He said the students were moved to three different locations. He said students in grades three through five went to the First Baptist Church, students in grades six through eight went to the First Christian Church, and the high school students went to the fire station. He said they change the locations of the children each time so they’re never sure which place they’ll go.
Smith said the police had searched the school and given the all clear so children were allowed to collect their personal belongings and head to practice, games or home.
