Mc CUNE — A two vehicle accident led to three people being taken to the hospital Thursday.
The accident happened at the intersection of Highway 400 and Northwest 100 outside of McCune.
One car pulled out in front of another car leading to an accident where both cars ended up off of the road.
One of the cars was flipped over on to its top leaving two people inside trapped.
The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Department and the Columbus Fire Department responded to the call.
CFD’s lead driver and assistant fire chief Steven Burton said one person was transported by Crawford County EMS, one person was transported by Cherokee County EMS, and one person was flown by helicopter to receive treatment.
Burton said the CFD sent two fire trucks and five personnel and were on scene for about an hour.
