Love is in the air and weddings are coming up.

I have the honor of being a bridesmaid in my cousinís wedding in November and let me tell you the planning ó oh my. There is a lot that goes into a wedding. I was never quite sure how much. I still donít think I have any idea how much actually goes into a wedding. I have helped with some of my friends weddings before, and participated in them, but I am still baffled each and every time about all of the prep work which goes into it.

This weekend I went shopping for bridesmaid dresses with my cousin. I do not think I have ever seen that portion of the prepping go so smoothly.

We walked into the store, the young lady who helped us came back in a few minutes with my cousinís gown and a sample of the dress the bridesmaids will be wearing.

I think of the whole ordeal, the hardest part of was deciding if each bridesmaid will wear a different color and which it would be. Oh ó and getting measured. It is not always fun to find out just what size you really are ó oh well.

Planning ahead is key. I think all of the planning my cousin has done before involving the bridesmaids has really had an effect. All of the work we need to do is running fairly smooth and things are falling into place.

Finding shoes ó well that was another story. We walked the mall for a few hours. Not necessarily searching very hard for shoes, but looking. We tried a number of stores looking for just the right ones and when we finally decided on shoes it had been some we had seen in one of the first stores. I think we just had to make sure there were not any other shoes that were more amazing. I think my favorite part about the shoes and the shopping is that the shoes are so playful and fun and I got to spend so much time with my aunt and cousin. I really enjoyed that we got to focus on her for a while.

I have a sneaking suspicion that as the time approaches for the wedding we may be a little more hectic with the planning. Planning can be difficult at times because our family is spread out, but the wedding is sure to be just as beautiful as the bride and Iím sure it will be amazing.
