Just after 9 p.m. on Friday night, investigators with the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Kansas Bureau of Investigation, executed a search warrant at 7900 Southeast Friends Road.

“During the course of the search, investigators discovered a suspected methamphetamine lab, along with stolen property, including a 2008 Dodge Durango,” stated Sheriff David Groves.

Arrested at the scene was 47 year-old, Bobby Barr, of that address. 

Barr was taken to the Cherokee County Jail and is being held in lieu of $35,000 bond on allegations of manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of precursor chemicals with intent to manufacture methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, felony possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, and possession of stolen property.
