Claythorne Lodge is proud to announce that they have been awarded the 2014 National Sporting Clays Association US Open in 2014, the first week of June.

Claythorne was awarded the event over Ben Avery Clay Target Center, a state owned facility near Phoenix, Arizona. The selection was made in San Antonio, TX, during the National Championship last week.

"I really feel that our community support was one of the reasons we won the bid over Phoenix” said Frieda Lancaster, co-owner of Claythorne.

The Event is expected to bring in more than one thousand competitors from around the United States. The 7 day event will feature a 200 target Sporting Clays Event as well as many side events throughout the week.

This will mark the third time Claythorne has hosted the event, having hosted it in 2000 and again in 2006. Claythorne also hosted the WORLD FITASC Championship in 2003 which only comes to United States every 7 years.
