A Scammon man is recovering at a Joplin, Mo. hospital following his being impaled on a decorative porch post after falling from a rooftop.
Jeff Gobin, remains in fair condition following surgery Tuesday night after he fell from the roof of his home onto a decorative porch railing. The railing punctured into his side about six inches tearing the lining of his stomach but missing all vital organs.
The surgery repaired the stomach lining and his condition is reported to be “good.”
Gobin was Med-Flighted to St. John’s Hospital in Joplin, Mo. after the the Cherokee County Ambulance and the Columbus Fire Department were called to the scene.
