Columbus — Crossland Construction Company, Inc. is proud to announce that it has completed one million man hours respectively without a lost time accident, from May 19, 2011 through today.
Over the past year, Crossland has encountered some of the most difficult challenges with the forces of nature. Nationwide, our teams have worked through the hot, dry summer days, including the Joplin tornado catastrophe, and yet have still managed to accomplish this celebratory achievement.
Crossland has incorporated a safety program called S.T.O.P. (Safety through Organization and Planning) Accidents. This program was designed to improve safety through training and education. In addition, an award/bonus system has been established throughout the company for field personnel to reward the guys in the field who work safe on our jobsites.
In response to Crossland reaching the 1,000,000 man hours with no lost-time accidents, Ivan Crossland Jr., CEO, couldn’t have stated it more clearly: “This is big. Great job everyone.”
