William M. Fogg, 91, of Frontenac, passed away at 9:40 p.m. Saturday, April 16, 2011 at the Sunset Manor Nursing Home in Frontenac.
He was born July 25, 1919 at St. Joseph, Missouri to Frank H. and Ruth V. (Marks) Fogg. He attended Joplin, Missouri schools and graduated from Joplin Senior High School and later from Joplin Junior College.
On August 17, 1940, he was united in marriage to Angiebelle Riggs at Columbus, Kansas. She preceded him in death on October 20, 1999.
For over 30 years, he and his wife owned and operated the Ben Franklin Store in Columbus. Mr. Fogg. They later moved to Austin, TX and then to Grove in 1993.
Mr. Fogg served in the United States Navy during World War II from 1942 until 1945.
Membership was held in the First Baptist Church of Grove, Oklahoma; Prudence Masonic Lodge #100 of Columbus, Kansas; Past Worthy Patron of the Order of Eastern Star; and Ft. Scott Consistory.
Survivors include a son, John Fogg and his wife, Kay of Frontenac; five grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a son, William Rex Fogg and one brother, Frank Fogg.
Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday (April 20) at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery in Joplin, Missouri with Rev. Jim Sukraw officiating. Burial will follow the services. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, at the Brenner Mortuary. The family suggests memorials to the Prudence Lodge #100 of Columbus.
