Shirley Ann (Simone) Scott, age 79, passed away on Thursday, October 25, 2012 at Quaker Hill Manor, Baxter Springs, Kan. Shirley was born December 23, 1932, at 42 Camp, Kan. to the union of Louis and Inez (Shadle) Simone.

She lived in the Baxter Springs area all her life. She worked as a medical office clerk for several doctors in the area and also the Baxter Memorial Hospital. Her hobbies and her passion was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Johnnie Simone, two sisters, Rose Jarrett and Mary Jean Simone.

Survivors include: two sons, Kent Scott and wife Vicki of Springfield, Mo. and Mike Scott and wife Rhonda of Mesa, Ariz.; two daughters, Debbie Auman and husband Tandy of Riverton, Kan. and Allison Lewis and husband Vance of Carl Junction, Mo.; eight grandchildren, Jeremy, Jenifer, Christina, Trevor, Matthew, Angie, Amanda, and Jessica; and nine great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews and many friends.

A Graveside service will be held 10 a.m., Monday, October 29, 2012 at the Baxter Cemetery, Baxter Springs, Kan. Vance Lewis will be officiating the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House Charities, in care of Derfelt’s Baxter Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Derfelt’s Baxter Chapel, Baxter Springs, Kan.
