Danny Dean Jameson, Sr., 64 of Scammon, Kan. passed away Friday, February 25, 2011 at Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg, Kan.
He was born November 21, 1946 in rural Crawford County, the son of George, Jr. and Lorene (McDaniel) Jameson.
Danny attended Cherokee Schools. In 1978 he moved to Colorado, returning back to Cherokee Co. in 2006. He worked for the Dickey Clay Company and in Colorado as a union carpenter. For 27 years he worked for the Jefferson County School in Colorado district as a heat and air technician.
On October 26, 1964 he married Sharon Parent and later divorced.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Trampas Joe Jameson; infant brother, Billy and an infant niece.
Survivors include a son, Danny Jameson, Jr. and wife Sherri of Pittsburg; four brothers, George Jameson, Jr. “Buddy” of Mulvane, Kan., James Jameson and wife Sandy of Cherokee, Tony Jameson and wife Carol of Lexington, Ohio, Mike Jameson and wife Lisa of rural Scammon; four sisters, Beverly Joyce of Pittsburg, Debbie Wydick and husband Luke of Weir, Kan., Lisa Sullivan and husband Jim of Riverton, Kan., and Tina Wydick and husband Gary of Scammon; four grandchildren, Ginny Stephens, Zachary Jameson, Amber Jameson, all of Pittsburg, and Chay Jameson of Cherokee; five great-grandchildren, Ali, Caden, Alexis, Brooklynn, and Miranda, along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Weir with Reverend Jamie Tickel officiating.
