Charles D. Waggoner was born on January 23, 1940 in West Virginia. He spent the last six years of his life in the area of Scammon, Kan. He loved animals, fishing and hunting, and watching comedy movies on television. He died on December 28, 2011 at the Medicalodge nursing facility in Columbus, Kan. He will be greatly missed by his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Ruby Waggoner, a sister Thelma Robison, half-brothers Leon James and Michael Norman, and a nephew Frankie James.

Mr. Waggoner is survived by half-brothers, Cleon James of Parsons, Kan., Stephen James of Scammon, Kan., Robert James of Illinois, and Stanley James of Georgia. He is survived by nieces Anna Greenwood, Ethel Whaley, JoAnn Smith, Sarah Ellen James, and Tabitha Harper, and nephews Bobby James, Brian James, Adam James and Jeff James.

A Memorial Service will be held for Mr. Waggoner on Sunday, January 22 at 2 p.m. at the Sherman Baptist Church, located at 5276 N.W. 124Th, Oswego, Kan. Pastor Jim Thomas will officiate.
