Gaylen L. Wisdom, 70, formally of Columbus, passed away peacefully Monday, May 30, 2011, at the hospice in Ft. Worth.

Gaylen was born May 3, 1941, in Columbus, Kan. Gaylen served in the United States Air Force for four years. He was employed by Plastic Molder Supply in Fort Worth as an IT director for 17 years.

He was a member of Walnut Creek Country Club and was an avid golfer. He enjoyed his sons' Little League baseball and soccer teams, showing his 1973 Corvette and playing with his grandchildren.

Gaylen was preceded in death by his son, Brent Wisdom and his parents, Luther and Daphine Wisdom.

Gaylen will be remembered by his loving wife, Joyce; their son, Kirk Wisdom and his wife, Michelle;  grandchildren, Maci, Colt and Case of Weatherford. He is also survived by a brother J.B. Wisdom; sisters, Wilma Duley and her husband, Warren and Marilyn White and her husband Kenny all of Columbus, Kan. And a numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral was held at 10 a.m. Thursday in Laurel Land Memorial Chapel. Interment was held at Laurel Land Memorial Park of Fort Worth. Visitation was held at Laurel Land Funeral Home.
