Don Cashion, 72, Weir, died Sunday, August 23, 2009 at his home after a long battle with Pancreatic Cancer.

Don was born July 7, 1937, in Campbell Mo., son of the late Grover and Alva (Tucker) Cashion. Don had two brothers and five sisters.

He was a husband, dad and papa. Don also was a Telecommunications employee working for FairPoint Communications. He served his country in the Korean War and later in the Air Force Reserves. He was a avid Cardinal fan and fisherman.

On August 3, 1955 he was united in marriage to Mary A. Whitehead in Flint, MI. They moved to Weir in 1976, from St. Louis, Mo.

He was preceded in death by parents, one brother, two sisters and one granddaughter.

Survivors include his wife Mary of the home; four children, Cindy and husband Paul Boeger, St. Louis, Mo., Pam and husband Kurtis Hohl, Weir, Don Jr. and wife Sandy Cashion, Broken Arrow, Okla., Tim and wife Lana Cashion, Weir; three grandchildren, Zakea Boeger, Sam Hohl and Katelyn Cashion.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, August 29, at the Hosey Hill Cemetery with Rev. Dan Muter officiating. Family will receive friends on, Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Weir.

The procession to the cemetery will leave the funeral home at 10:45 a.m. Condolences may be left at www.bathnaylor.com.
