Mary Frances Lopp, 90, of Quaker Hill Manor, Lowell, Kansas passed away June 26, 2011.
Mary was born December 4, 1920 in Oswego, Kan. to Sam & Sue “Stice” Smith. She was the middle child of ten daughters. During World War II, Mary worked at the Parsons Ordnance Plant. She married Bert Lopp in 1944. She then became homemaker and lived in Rural Columbus, Caldwell, Idaho and Chetopa, Kan.
Bert preceded her in death on April 9, 1990.
Survivors include two sons; Darrell Lopp of Joplin, Mo. and Sam and Rita Swanson Lopp of Joplin, Mo., five grandchildren, thirteen great grand-children, and four sisters; “Dit” Ross, Louise Morgan, Neoma Hoggett and Irene Smith.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 29, 2011, 10 a.m. at Derfelt Funeral Home Chapel in Columbus, Kan. Burial will follow in Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 28, 2011 from 7 to 8 p.m. at Derfelt Funeral Home Columbus, Kan.
