ALTAMONT The Labette County girls basketball team won by 30 points on Monday night to set up a 4A substate game with Parsons on Thursday.

Labette County took a 13-9 lead over Columbus into the second quarter, when Altamont gave up only two points for a 25-11 halftime lead. The Lady Titans scored only 10 points in the second half, and Labette County cruised to a 51-21 victory.

The Titans had no players in double figures and Madi Evans led scoring for Columbus with 8 points.

As a team the Titans had just 7 field goals, including one trey by Haley Evans and were 6-of-10 from the line.

The young Titan team has struggled this season with just two seniors on the squad and the rest mostly freshmen or sophomores.

After the loss to No. 1 seed Labette County the Titans finish their season 4-16.
