Tuesday, April 19 the Lady Titan Softball team hosted the defending back-to-back State Champion Riverton Lady Rams in a single game defensive battle at Columbus Community Field Complex.

In the opening inning, Pittsburg State signee, Cheslyn Mitchell led off with a single for the Lady Rams. Kiley Woods reached first safely on an error and Taylor Price’s double scored both runners. Price scored before the inning ended to give Riverton a 3 – 0 lead after one half inning of play.

The only 2 hits for the Lady Titans came in the bottom of the seventh inning when lead-off batter Reagan Soper singled. Overman also singled but was put out at second by Lady Ram shortstop, C.
