CHEROKEE — The Columbus Titan boys dropped another heart breaker to Oswego Tuesday night at the Lancer Classic in Cherokee, falling to the Oswego Indians 50-48 in the final seconds of the game.
“We didn’t play very well the first half,” Titan Head Coach Kevin Brown said. “But we came out and played the second half and had them tied up with less than 13 seconds to go.
“But we ended up fouling them and they hit their free throws.”
Those free throws put the Indians on top. Columbus is now 2-7.
Matt Crain was the only Titan player in double figures, with 25 points. He was 11-of-16 from the field and 3-of-5 from the line. Dustin Morris, Taylor Spear and Jaden Tedlock all had 6.
The Titans faced Frontenac last night in the consolation bracket. Results were unavailable at press time.
