BAXTER SPRINGS - Prom is one of the most quintessential high school experiences, and it doesn't have to cost you an arm and a leg to ensure your child has a special, memorable evening.

"Once upon a Prom" is a weekend-long event centered around that key item: The prom dress. From 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., on Jan. 21 and Jan. 22, Baxter Springs High School will host the prom dress event where local residents can consign, donate and shop.

Bring your gently used formal or bridal gown. Dresses can be dropped off between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. on both days of the event. You set the price and when it sells, $20 of the sell price is donated to the BHS 80's Mega Reunion.

All donated dresses will be given away for free. A blind monetary donation to the BHS 80's Mega Reunion will be requested.

Formal, Bridal, Homecoming, Prom...a dress for every occasion, waistline and budget. Also, check out the local Prom accessory vendors.
