1 JUNK SHOPPING — If cars aren’t your thing, not to worry. In conjunction with the 31st Annual Ol’ Marais River Run car show, Ottawa Main Street Association will host the city’s fall Flea Junk ‘n Trunk 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Booths will not be on Main Street, but instead will be located at the corner of First and Walnut streets on the grassy lot behind Firestone. Shuttles will arrive from Forest Park, 320 N. Locust St., Ottawa. Lenni Giacin, director of the Main Street Association, said 35 booths had registered as of Tuesday, including those selling essential oils, handmade crafts, wrenches, vinyl records, tutus, food and more.

2 5K BENEFIT RUN — A 5k race this weekend benefits a family whose son was recently diagnosed with cancer. Registration for the Hudson Strong Fun Run begins 7 a.m. Sunday on the Ottawa University track, 1001 S. Cedar St., Ottawa. Race begins at 8 a.m., and cost is a freewill donation (suggested $30).
