About the Community Foundation of Southeast Kansas

The Community Foundation of Southeast Kansas was founded in 2001 by a group of citizens interested in encouraging charitable giving and strengthening communities. Since its inception, the Foundation has awarded over $9.8 million in grants through its donor advised, unrestricted, designated, field-of-interest, scholarship, and organizational endowment funds. As local centers for charitable giving, our Foundation, along with our affiliates at the Girard and Fort Scott Community Foundations, works with individuals, families, corporations and not-for-profits organizations to carry out their charitable objectives and address emerging community issues. It is one of more than 780 community foundations in the country and is a member of the Kansas Association of Community Foundations.
