50 years ago this week Raymond V. Swaney, of Galena, was honored by the Kansas State Telephone Company. He was presented with a gold watch at dinner at Spring River Inn. The dinner and gift were in recognition of his 50 years with the company, where he worked as safety and plant supervisor.
