Robert Keith Robinson, age 64 of Baxter Springs, passed away at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, Mo. at 3:16 a.m. on Tuesday, June 5, 2018.

Robert was born in Joplin on October 31, 1953 to the union of Joseph Robinson and Juanita (Hicks) Robinson. He enlisted in the US Navy in 1972 and served until 1975. Upon his discharge from active duty, Robert began working for the Missouri Army National Guard and served there until retiring as a Staff Sergeant in 2005. He was a lifetime resident of Baxter Springs and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Disabled American Veterans.

Robert was united in marriage with Roberta J. (Razalan) Robinson in Honolulu, Hawaii on March 8, 1973. She survives.

Additional survivors include two sons, Joseph Robinson (wife, Ilinka) of Virginia Beach, Va., and Patrick Robinson of Baxter Springs; one daughter, Salvacion “Sally” Robinson of Joplin; one brother, Larry Stubblefield (wife, Kassity) of Lebanon, Mo.; two sisters, Rhonda Robinson of Springfield, Mo., and Cindy Gideon (husband, Claude) of Riverton, Kan.; as well a eight grandchildren.

Mr. Robinson has been entrusted to Derfelt’s Baxter Chapel for cremation. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Derfelt’s Baxter Chapel.
