COLUMBUS — A Riverton man was sentenced on sex charges Monday.
Brandon Youngblood, 21, was charged in 2011 on two counts of aggravated indecent liberties with a child between the ages of 14 and 16, two counts of unlawful sexual contact and one count of aggravated burglary.
As part of a plea agreement, the charges were reduced to one count of aggravated indecent liberties and one count of unlawful sexual contact.
Judge Oliver Kent Lynch sentenced Youngblood to 41 months in prison on the indecent liberties charge and six months for the sexual contact charge. Those sentences will run concurrently but the sentence was reduced to 35 months as part of the agreement.
Youngblood was already serving an 18 month sentence stemming from non-residential burglary and arson charges in 2010. The new sentence will run consecutively with the old. Youngblood, who has been in jail since his arrest on the sex charges, has already served more than 550 days in prison.
Additionally, he was ordered to register as a sex offender.
